Diamond Set

A diamond set in most cases applies to rings. (Though, it can refer to gold jewelry). In fact, diamond set wedding rings are becoming increasingly popular among couples who want to stay traditional but want a slightly different take. In essence, diamond set wedding rings allow several shapes of diamonds to be inset into a ring. (This can also apply to a bracelet or necklace.)

A diamond set in most cases will contain diamonds of a specific cut, and perhaps vary by color or by sparkle or design. Because of this versatility, the gauge of the ring, necklace or bracelet needs to be deep enough to accommodate more than one different kind of diamond.

With a diamond set, it is always a good idea to seek the advice of a specialist because they require a particular design. However, if properly planned out and thought through, a diamond set can provide a lot of versatility to one’s accessory wardrobe.
